Grant, Zac & Jim will pull out of the North Carolina shop this morning, heading to Chicagoland Speedway for testing Thursday. ARCA competitors will take advantage of the day long open test session in advance of next Friday’s nationally televised race. Grant finished 2nd in the 2009 Chicago race, crossing the finish line only 7/100 of a second behind winner Justin Lofton who is now racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

“We have worked hard and long rebuilding this car from the ground up and we are ready to get the car on the track and anxious to find out how the car performs. We know that the Chicago race may well be the last race of the season for us and we are determined to put the BeasleyAllen car in victory circle.”

CHICAGOLAND RACE 2009

Grant, Zac and Jim will return to the shop this weekend and make any changes necessary to the car, “nut & bolt” the car (physically touching/adjusting every connection, nut, bolt, weld and installation in and on the car) before loading the car and a backup car, with all necessary tools and equipment into the hauler. They will then head back to Chicago Tuesday evening for the race.

July: Click It or Ticket. Buckle Up Kentucky 150 at Kentucky Speedway

“I think the last ten laps was one heck of a race. I didn’t think we could get him [Grant Enfinger] at one point. The last corner of the last lap I went into there with the mentality that it would either be wreckers or checkers and it was checkers so that was pretty good.” -Parker Kligerman after battling with Grant Enfinger side-by-side for 15 laps to win the Click It or Ticket. Buckle Up Kentucky 150 in the No. 77 Cunningham Motorsports Dodge, his fourth consecutive win of 2009.

“I was clear there at the start finish line and he got a great run going into two and it was just a bonsai move. I knew I would only have one more chance so I backed down a little bit and then I got back into the gas and it just didn’t stick. But man that was a great battle there running with Parker Kligerman side-by-side for about the last 15 laps and I need to really thank him for running me clean. We are a very low budget team, just stringing parts and pieces of this car together to try and make it work and a finish like this really means a lot.” -Grant Enfinger (finished second in the No. 83 BeasleyAllen.com Ford)

August: Ansell Cut Protection 150 at Chicagoland Speedway

“At that last restart honestly the only thing I was thinking was ‘oh dang’ because I had acquired a little bit of a lead there and I knew that there were some pretty strong cars behind me. It was great during that race to be able to battle against some of those guys for the lead, especially Brian Ickler because I grew up racing with him and to race him in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and come out ahead feels pretty good to me.” -Justin Lofton (No. 6 Lofton Cattle Toyota) after winning at Chicagoland.

“I felt like we had the fastest car and it took us 100 laps to do it but I think we proved it tonight. I’ve never been so disappointed in my life. Our car was definitely fastest tonight, unlike at Kentucky where we battled side-by-side for the lead but the cars were pretty much even.” -Grant Enfinger (finished second in the No. 83 BeasleyAllen.com-Roush Performance Parts Ford).
