Although Beasley Allen’s sponsorship commitment to Grant’s ARCA race program expired at the end of 2010, the firm has decided to sponsor the BeasleyAllen.com car at the 2 fastest tracks in the country. Beasley Allen will be on the hood and sides of the #36 ARCA car Grant is driving Saturday February 12th at the World Center of Racing. The Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 will kick off Daytona Speed Weeks, which is the beginning of the race season.

“The race team and I appreciate Beasley Allen stepping up in this “bonus” sponsorship for the Daytona race this weekend and Talladega April 15th. Both races will be televised live nationally, but we hope that as many fans as possible can join us in person for the Talladega race where we have run so well.” In 2009, Grant finished his first race at the world’s fastest race track in 3rd place. Last year, he led the final 42 laps before being “hung out” of the draft when the car pushing him from behind changed lanes and wrecked, relegating Grant to 6th place when the checkered flag flew.

Grant drove to Daytona Beach Monday for a full week of activity, including meetings, technical inspections and practice before Friday’s 2 lap qualifying session. The race will be telecast on the Speed Channel Saturday at 3:30 pm CST. For more information on the race and ARCA activities this week, visit www.arcaracing.com .
