One of the most dreaded statements a lawyer can hear is his client muttering at trial “Oh, no, here it comes!”. Grant heard the racer’s equivalent when his Pocono spotter radioed “Grant, I can’t see you–you are on your own!”

The ARCA competitors at Pocono raced at 165 miles per hour through mist, then rain, then fog. When spotters could not see the cars in turn one, disaster could have occurred.
“ARCA officials tried to finish the race under a green flag, but the elements were too much. Our car was good on long runs and I wanted to race the entire 200 miles, but the correct decision was made. It was hairy going that fast and not being able to see the next turn.”

Grant, once again, was left to wonder what could have been as he was just a few seconds away from his first ARCA win. His third place finish Saturday was his 9th top three finish in 25 ARCA races, which is an incredible record, but he is still chasing the win he intends to capture Friday at Michigan Speedway.

BeasleyAllen.com returns to the hood of the #36 car in Friday’s nationally televised race. Unlike the past 2 races which have been tape delayed, the Michigan Speedway race will be televised live on Speed TV. That telecast begins at 4 p.m. CDT. Thursday’s practice, Friday’s qualifying and the race itself will feature live timing at scoring at www.arcaracing.com where the entire 2 day schedule of events can be found.
